Somewhere around 2003 we stopped driving it. Luckily, it was indoors and under a good cover. About 2 years ago I pulled it out and began planning a full restoration. This largely a restoration, however we plan to drive it and are making some changes to make it more enjoyable.

The changes will be as follows: a stock appearing sb 406 (dyno'd a comfortable 460 hp/500 tq)and keisler auto replacing the stored 350/350. Deluxe black houndstooth interior with split glass rear window (the top will never be up), the spoiler package and it is lowered just a bit to about where it sat when I bought it in '81.

A couple of items are still under consideration. I want rally wheels and plan to use the 15 x 7's I have. However, I am considering aftermarket 16 x ? rallys to make better use of the motor. This will also dictate the tires. I really like the period correct Goodyear WL look, but can't deal with the bias ply.

Exhaust - I never cared for the sound of the factory muffler (OEM's) and do not want it any louder than the wife's 2007 Escalade. I want it to follow the factory configuration, and have planned a custom 3" system, but do not know what to do about the muffler.

I also plan to use factory fluid honed factory exhaust manifolds, however, I do not want to use the originals. Paint - the car was painted the original garnet red, however, I just dont know if I can put the original black hockey sticks back on it as I prefer no stripe.
Also, somewhere along the way, I pitched the factory A M radio and am looking for an original (I prefer one that doesnt work).

If you read all of this, thanks. I am about 75% complete and would appreciate any ideas and especially any leads on the radio and exhaust manifolds.
