Default New to Camaro need vin help

I have a 1968 camaro that I am thinking of buying.
Vin number looks odd as most I see start with a 1 and the Plant number is off also. could this be a misprint on the Vin tag and the title??
Vintag and title appear Legit
Please help me save a Camaro from a field

Welcome to the Club
VIN, on dash and etched into firewall under cowl panel, should start with
12X378 as X is either a 3 = L6 eng, or 4 = V8, aka, 123378 or 124378
Read more over at www.camaros.org
If 1 is a 2, 'Run Forrest, run'

Default Vin pictures,

Vin pic, I was hoping to get back into Chevys but this vin issue has me worried, that and the cheap back half conversion.

Run, Forrest, run

You are seeing a 68 Camaro born/starting life as a 68 Firebird.

Ok, so the car was a Firebird. Is it in solid condition, and a heck of a good deal too good to pass up? If yes to both, then I say so what! Unless you're looking to restore an investment car.

Agree with you, up to Jorge.
