Munice M21 Keeps Binding Up Locking me in 1st Gear???
Hello Fellas,
Seems every time I jump on my 69 the damn Shifter Linkage gets bound up and I'm stuck in 1st gear... So I have to jack it up and the second lever is out of position and I turn it one click forward with the wrench and I'm back in business...? But I can not figure why its doing this... The Drive train is all new, tranny was fully rebuild less than 500 miles ago.
I though maybe the shifter arms were just loose but< im running lock washers and they are plenty tight...
Here is the arm that is getting bound, Like I said Jack it up, I click the the second arm one click forward and Its fine until next time... Seems to be doing it every time I drive it... Pissing me off... ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED! Thanks

You need to re adjust your shifter. Pull the shift rods off at shifter and put trans and shifter in neutral. See the notch in your shifter just below stick shift mount bolt? You should be able to slide correct size drill bit or rod thru both shifter arms to hold them in correct spot and then adjust linkgage arms till they slide in their own holes perfectly. Make sure all the bushings are good and tight also. Mine would get stuck if I shifted from reverse to first too quickly, so I carried a 9/16 wrench and would reach under car and pop lever back.
