Mono springs or 5 leaf?
I had a set of mono's on my 68 with a set of traction bars and I ended up bending the spring where the nubber from the traction bar met the spring when the car finally "stuck" on a launch.
This caused what is known as severe axle wrap. The way it was explained to me, is that Axle wrap is that upward force that is put on the pinion as torque is applied through the drive shaft. In my case, when the mono leaf spring bent due to excessive force it allowed the U-joint to meet Mr. Pinion and something had to give as the 500 hp rated U-joint cracked and slid out of it's U-bolt, offsetting the drive shaft which in turn caused the drive shaft to hit the drive shaft loop, thus kinking my 800 hp rated drive shaft. What a wreck... The slapping of the kinked drive shaft ended up shearing off the drive shaft loop. Think of it like bending a piece of metal up and down until it breaks.
All this cause I had too much hp, and not enough spring to keep the pinion in alignment.
Solution? A custom set of Multi Leaf springs from Eaton Springs and a set of Competition Engineering Slide a Links.
Eaton Spring out of Detroit can customize a set of springs. Send them an e-mail or give them a call. Great people to work with and they know their cars!

Your one (and the main) problem was with the traction bars being too short. The snubber wants to be directly below the spring eye at the mount, not pushing up on the flat portion of the spring that's behind that point. That's one of the problems one could run into when using something that's "one size fits all".
What springs did you get? And did you do the swap from mono to the 5 leaf? Thanks,
Yea mono to 5 leaf. I got the stuff from Biscays the local camaro parts vendor in my area. Leafs $150, install kit $80,lower spring mounts $60. I didnt change the upper spring perches thats something youll need to look into.
