The height of that car will depend on the Arch in the spring. New multi leaf and mono leaf spring cars sat at the same height. Unless you are going for an all original restore go with the multi leaf. Its just a better setup all around. My car is mostly stock and original the two exceptions are mono leafs where upgraded to multi leaf and manual steering was upgrade to power. I will not be switching them back any time soon. The car is much more drivable.

It will take some searching but you can have the leafs rearched. I am sure there are guys around that still do it cause I think its pretty common in the truck world. This was very common back in the day. No where near as many guys modding leaf spring cars these days. Air shocks is the other option but I am not a big fan of it.

69 Camaros with 327 and smaller engine had mono leaf springs (except Z-28). 350 and higher had multi leaf springs. The perches are different for mono and multi but they make a conversion kit to convert a mono spring car to a multi.

J.C. whitneys sells a 3 leaf spring that can replace the mono ones on first gens and lifts the car slightly in the rear(higher than a new mono) and you can use the mono perches and plates!!
part number
21-245

If you want a performance spring Caltracs makes a split-mono spring. can add or subrract 1 inch. With thier traction bars & adjustible shocks you can tune your rear suspension to launch like a rocket. I have original mono springs with thier bars and rear shocks (SS/RS 350) ran 1.41 60ft.
