Default ls3 or ctsv

I am at the beginning stages of restoring a 1969 Camaro convertible and am looking for advice on engine and drivetrain. what will and wont fit. I am leaning towards a corvette ls3 with an automatic. I am also leaning towards a supercharged Cadillac ctsv motor that has around 21,000 miles for $7000. It comes complete with a 6180e 6 speed automatic transmission, harness, ecm and all the accessories. WILL THIS FIT IN A 1969?

Short answer is yes. It's not a direct bolt in but there are plenty who have swapped the Gen III/IV engines into the 1st gens. I'm sure there's even some who've done the Gen V engines already.

Do you know if the firewall will need to be cut to make room for the engine?

I don't believe so. Most of the LS series are not much bigger than the Gen I SB. Here's a company who seems to have kit to swap one in.

do you know with the supercharger if it will be too high that it would hit the stock hood?

I would research a little, but I would say it may be able to fit under the factory hood or you may need a small cowl induction hood. The supercharger on the LS series engines sits pretty low.
