Default ls1 swap?

I am trying to help a friend install a 2004 goat motor in his 67 camaro.Does anyone on this forum have any experience in doing this? I don't have any question at this point I would just like to know if I could fall back to the knowledge of this forum for help when I get stuck with something. Thanks

There's a TPI/LS1 section on this site that might be able to answer any questions. Sorry, it's my first time swapping a late model engine into a 1st Gen car so, I don't have any answers or suggestions yet.

Check out Street & Performance website. They have a lot of info posted on their 68 Camaro LS1 swap.

I will say your biggest problem, is going to be fuel delivery. (this could be a sticky)(hmmmm) The new motor needs preassure from a pump that isnt the same as the mechanical. Also the car thinks it has a carb, you are putting in something with a fuel rail I am assuming. So that will be a biggie. Also the A/C will be fun. Did the GTO have A/C? Also the exhaust will need to be fabbed as well as the cooling. This just off the top of my head. To answer your question, yes there is plenty of knowledge here to help along the way.
