Thanks 69
It's called Laser Blue and GM put it out between 06 and 09 I believe. My painter picked up the paint and clear from Sikkins I had an 06 Malibu Max that color and I loved it so much I decided to paint the car that color.
It's really cool depending on how the light hits it and I've yet to see it in full sunlight so all I have to go by is how the Malibu looked. Anyway, depending on the light, it moves from a bright metalic blue to a deep purple.
The flames go from blue, purple then red. My painter did an awesome job and it's too bad the camera can't capture it. Maybe it will do better this spring when I have it outside? I'll attach a picture with the garage door open so you can get a better idea the spectrum this paint covers.
Anyway, it's base coat with two coats of clear, then fully color sanded (3000 grit), then the flames were laid down and another 5 coats of Sikkins clear was sprayed, color sanded and rubbed out. If you can't tell, I'm pretty excited lol!

Here's a picture of the Malibu after a deer jumped through my front windshield that I copied the color from.
This should give us a pretty good idea what the Camaro is going to look like when the sun hits it, except with 7 coats of clear (Two that were sanded off), it should really add some depth.

Thanks Burnt! I like the color of your 68 too, looks awesome! Is that the same color they came out with when they introduced the Z-06?
The guy who painted my car is just north of Detroit. If you're serious send me a PM and I'll give you his contact information. I'm telling ya, he's a great guy and really take pride in his work. Oh, and his prices are very reasonable too.

im in illinois so takeing my car to detroit would be a tad far!!! LOL
it was repainted hugger orange in 84 and just kinda faded/dulled to a kinda dull burnt hugger orange. it has grown on me but its 27 year old laquer thats cracking and showing its age so i will have to repaint in the next yr or so , either back to original corvette bronze or maybe a new hugger type orange?

It's a 1996 350 block with a small roller cam, 1990 heads, 670 Holley. It ain't no beast, but it's a good driver.
