Default JL8 question

Just another quick question, in my pursuit of a 12 bolt rear, I have stumbled across a bare rear end that is set up for JL8 rear discs, dated april 69. Is this just a regular rear diff with diffeent brackets?, or is it a completely different rear housing? Would it be worth rebuilding? thanks in advance..

Yeah its a normal 12 bolt until u get to the end where the disk brackets are. if you found an original jl8 rear and a good price ****** it up because they are rare. also though it could be a conversion. Chevy sold the kits over the counter in 68 and 69
