Default Info On L89

My Camaro is an X22 code with a 396/375 the serial# on the engine is
T0207JJ. I have read many adds and post that there were only 311 of these produced.
I would like to verify this information anyone got any ideas?

Has it still got the rectangular port aluminum heads?
That would indeed be a rare bird.

total Camaro L78 production was 4,889, while only 311 buyerschecked off on the pricey L89 option, which cost $710.95--more thandoubling the price of an L78 at $316.00.

They will be if they are factory L89 heads and if it's a numbers matching engine it should have 4 bolt mains with a forged steel crank and rods with forged 11.1 pistons, that's a heavy duty motor.
Oh and it should be a lumpy idle solid lifter cam if it's stock and unchanged.
If it hasn't been fitted with roller rockers just FYI the stamped steel rockers look like any other Chevy rockers but they are special with elongated slots for more travel for the big cam so if you ever have to replace one make sure you get the right piece.
If memory serves they have an H stamped on them.
Standard rockers will bind and crack or break and or bend pushrods etc.
