RE: How do i make my 68 a z28?
Its not a cool thing to try to fool people, but badging a car is not bad, its all what the owner wants. I am friends with a guy near my house that has a real z that looks like my rs with z badges. I do not try to say mine is a z, but the badges look cool and so do the stripes. so lkong as i do not lie about it, no harm no foul. either way it is a nice car, and wanting a z is not a bad thing, but they are expensive, and so is cloning a car, so in the end its preference

RE: How do i make my 68 a z28?
I am not wanting to know this so i can scam someone, its just that i dont want a plain jane camaro i like the look of the extra emblems and badges, but i also dont want EVERYONE to know that its a clone, know watta mean? I like the Z-28 emblems but dont want a 302 and i also dont want a 4-speed. Did any Z-28's come with the autos? What about an SS 350? Maybe that would be easier to "clone"??
BTW i am gonna Dyno the motor here pretty soon. I was hoping for a little more in the HP but i think i might be lucky to get 350HP out of it. (without NOS that is)

68's are easy to clone, tribute car or what ever. "It's your cardo what you want to it", doesn't haveany special i.d. on it other than 6 or 8 cylinderor interior option . If you don't havedocuments, build sheetor original owners manual with warranty plate, thanit'sconsidered a clone.Who in there right mind would drive real z28 , copo orrs/ss on the street daily, maybe if i was richandhad money to replace it i would .But there isalways some NUT drafting you when you are driving down the road ,then heslams into your rear and say's " i didn't see your third brake light"sorry just venting good luck with it. how about some pics?

Ultimately it comes down to what you want. The badges are the easiest way, you can look up the camaro research group for some specifics on locations and suck, I have a book at home if you are interested I can post up some info later if you cant find anything on the net.
