Default Horn

I was testing one of the horns yesterday and noticed a few things. The horn hasn't been used in years, and sounded very weak. I noticed that there is a very small bolt/screw with a star head. Is this access to a place that lubrication can be added? It is a Delco-Remy. Any ideas?

That's an adjustment screw to change the tone. Too tight or loose and the horn won't work. And if a quick smack with the handle of a screwdriver doesn't wake up the horn, you're better off replacing it.

Is that adjuster on the horn cone itself? Something I might want to mess with myself.

Yeah, it's that small screw in the center that has a weird starburst head. I don't know of a special tool that fits it, usually just grab it on the end by sticking long-nose pliers in the grooves.

Took a picture but I don't think it will show up. It's on the same side of the horn that has the terminal. The other side is the air channel.
