Default Hood Pins ??

I know that purchasing something like hood pins should not require much decision making, but I want to get something that looks good and will last. I have seen hood pin scuff plates that begin rusting and I don't want that on my car. Are any of you currently using or know someone using a particular brand that functions and looks well? I didn't want to just buy the $12 set on ebay, but I also don't want to spend $200 on the Hotchkis set.

Stainless steel: Stainless steel - Hood Pins - SummitRacing.com
I prefer the locking type (the pin types don't float my boat), but I haven't seen them in s.s. I did have a chrome pair on a car years ago, don't remember which brand (probably Mr. Gasket). They lasted and looked good for quite a number of years, even driving it in the winter.: Locking - Hood Pins - SummitRacing.com

Thanks, I like the way the SS Ford Racing set has the backing plate for the inside of the hood. I think I will go with these they look like a good product.

Plus they're 2 to 5 times the cost of the real thing. Those would look neat-o on your car though!

Had SS locking hood pins on my '71 until a couple years ago when I changed hoods. They stayed looking like new for over 25 years. I did have to change the screws to SS eventually as they rusted.
Been way too long ago to remember what brand they were, or even where I got them.

The same people who would put stick on side vents/portholes, front hood scoops, mile high spoilers, exhaust whistlers, phony mobile phone antennas, curb feelers, and fuzzy dice.
