Default Hood & Hinge Replacement Parts

I'm looking for recommendations on a OEM quality hood and hood hinges for my '68 RS.

This will be an insurance repair and I don't want to get stuck with cheap foreign parts.

I live in So Cal, so I figure there must be a good source out here.

Thanks

Default New hood/hinges

I'm not sure insurance will go for a used hood. I'd rather hold out for a OEM part. There must be a vendor who offers them. I will start a search. The body shop wanted me to do research before the adjuster showed up so I can specify what I want.

Thanks

If you mean "new" OEM, you're talking about a NOS (new old stock) hood. An insurance company isn't going to authorize a super expensive, and nearly impossible to find, NOS part, when a new aftermarket one is less than $200. And in reality, a good used original hood is better quality (fit and metal thickness) than what a new aftermarket one is. "OEM' means original equipment manufacturer, which is what a used GM one is.
