here is the deal I blew my last motor(speed shifting at 7800rpms not a good idea) so I put a rebuilt that is bored .060 and it will not stay cool. At highway speeds it tops out at 240 before I pulled over. I just wonder if my cam and 2-core radiator is the cause of this head ache. Also if you guys could point me to some good cheap radiators that be great thanks.

Also here is a treat 1 of 724 signent red, 1 of 46 with the engine option my 1958 corvette date code correct and completly original. Pics will be up in a separate thread when I feel like posting.

May want to check that the engine is tuned properly, especially spark timing. Retarded spark and or a lean mixture will cause a lot of excess heat. Also make sure there are no air bubbles in the cooling system, fan working properly and big enough for the job. Being that it gets hot at road speed, make sure enough air gets to the radiator. I don't know if the 1st gen used air dams in front, but if they did, make sure there is one.
