Default Help me decide!

Hi everyone. I have a 68 Camaro SS Convertible with the original 350 matched with the original glide transmission. I have been contemplating getting a period correct 396 and dropping it in because we all know that bbc rule, right? But - if I do this, because I have the matching #'s 350, will it actually decrease the value of the car or lose points in shows??

Thoughts? Opinions? Concerns?

Thanks!!

Yes to both. Save the matching 350 and trans if you do a BB swap, then you won't get hurt on the value.
If you want a car that scores more points for originality, leave the matching engine in there.

for most shows people wont mind the big block swap but for higer end shows it makes a big difference having the original motor under the hood.

my two cents put the
original 350 with the original glide in the garage corner and have fun with a 396
