Default Help with brake pedal height

My brake pedal is too low in my 69. It has been converted over to a 4 speed and I think that the brake pedal is wrong. It should be even with the clutch pedal and it is not. Are the pedals different for a 69. The aftermarket people list separate pedals for the 68 and 69 models. Anyone else have this problem. Thx

I am working on my 68 and noticed a couple of things from the GM repair manual. First is that there are different brake pedals that will slip into place because of the different models. I would however start with the return spring for the pedal located on the underside of the bracket. Look for a small tab bolted to the pedal shaft. If there is no spring attached to it then it either slipped off or broke. If it is attached and it isn't stretched out, check for something preventing the pedal from returning to it's normal position. Hopefully it's not electrical cables. Ha ha ( Seriously I hope it's not)!
