I have an all stock 68 camaro I just bought that has a set of headers and a flowmaster exhaust on it.

It is all stock 327 with a 2 barrel, points distibutor.

It has AC delco R45S plugs in it now, but with the wires, they are touching the headers. The guy before me put heavy duty plug wire covers over the wires so where they touch the headers they won't melt.

But I want to change the plugs to a shorty style. I know Accel makes some, but I've heard you can also just use a different style of plug like an autolite or NGK or something and they are the same lenght and like a 1/4 the cost.

Anyone know what they are talking about? I don't mind paying for the accels if they are worth it, but I've heard people don't like them as much either.
