Default Greeting from Seattle!

I'm new to the forum yet I've always had a things for first generation camaros. I am going to buy later this summer probably a 69 and want to fix it up big time. wheels, paints, insides everything....How much do you guys think doing this would be. I am trying not to spend more then 15-20 grand, is this amount laughable? Also I'm not the "mechanic" type are there mechanics that do this kind of work on old vehicles. I would love to do a lot of it myself, but i dont know how much i could really do....Thanks in advanced guys!

Welcome to the forum! I too am near seattle. Bought myself a 67 about 2 years ago, and have started fixing it up. I am not a mechanic either, but decided to do most of it myself and learn as I go. As long as you take your time with it, and ask questions when you're not sure about something, there's very little you shouldn't be able to do yourself!
PM me when you're starting work, or if you need an extra hand with it! And good luck!

Welcome to the forum and goodluck finding one. Try to get one that doesnt have too much rust on her. That will cut down on your cost and labor. There are mechanics....or body guys that do body restoration. Thats what I did. Had pretty much the outside shell completely redone with new sheet metal and a paint job....ran me about 9500. Ive got about 30 total in mine but I spent 8k on the body itself. Can you do it for what you asked....yea if you dont have to do alot of body work to it and the frame is solid. There are good co. out there that sell just about everything for a 1st gen camaro. Check NPD or Rick's 1st gen. I got most everything for mine thru NPD for quality and consistancy.
