Highway 99 open header cruise in downtown Bakersfield. I flailed on the car all day, got it running at 6, and was cruising downtown at 7. No overheating, car ran great. I actually drove it to the event, did three loops of the course, then wandered around downtown looking for my wife, who had decided to change the dinner venue on me. I ended up parking directly in front of the restaurant where the bouncer could keep an eye on it.

If you have the opportunity to attend this kind of event in your hometown, go for it! There were rear engine dragsters, gassers, chopped Caddys, sleds, rods, donks, dorks, and of course, Camaros.
