Pull it, toss it on a stand and restore it to original. Yank the bolt-ons and hook them up to a new 350 block which you can trick out all you want.

I had a 327 in my 68 for a long time. Made its best power 216HP @ 5600 215TQ@ around 4000RPM at the wheels. My 355 revs higher(not much) and makes about 100 more at the wheels.
