Default Fuse wire

Ok guys Im getting ready to start cutting, Only thing I want to know is the wire going from the horn relay (with a fusible link) going toward the firewall is for the fuse panal. I see 3 wires with fusible links, One going under the front core (which I think goes towards the battery) and one the looks to goes to the alt, but Im elimanating all that. (ford starter solonoid going in) basically this is race wired, but I just want to use the fuse block for headlights only....

Yes, that's right. Just make sure that however you re-do your wiring, that the main power supply circuits that now have fusible links inline, remain having a fusible link. Those links are what keeps your car from burning to the ground. You can also buy aftermarket fusible links.

thanks man, Im going to run a fusible link with a in-line fuse to it so burning down does not happen. Thank you very much for your reply....

If you're talking about a main feed line that should have a fusible link, DO NOT use an in-line fuse. Fusible links are designed to be slow-blow, meaning they can take a momentary surge or spike without blowing. Fuses can't.

thanks again, will do. So get a fusible link with 14 guage wire and run a 10 or 12 feed? Or is it the other way around?

The fusible link wants to be a few gauges less than the wire it's connected to. That article I posted describes it.
