Hi team,I have just "upgraded" from an 81 Z28 to a 68 model.
It will be another week or so before I take possession and I'm worse than a kid waiting for xmas.
Anyway,I know the tank will be almost bone dry when I get it and was wondering how many gallons/litres they hold.Not really looking forward to filling it up as gas is $9:35 a gallon over here.

You could put 70ish at a time into her, that's what I would do.

 

It's not a biggie.You get used to putting in a hundred plus.You dont enjoy it but its just something you have to do when you enjoy driving classics and muscle cars.

Thanks Camaro69.I have spent hours so far reading a lot of posts in this section and have a lot of respect for what you have to say but if it is 18 gallons that works out to 18 X 4.45 = 80 litres or around $164 NZD.
I dont really care.I'm just so looking forward to jumping in and driving my new pride and joy.

 

Ah, you're using the UK/Imperial gallons, which is equal to 4.546 litres x 18 = 81.83 litres.
BUT.....the US gallon (what the tank is measured in) is equal to 3.785 litres x 18 = 68.13 litres.
No wonder your "gallon" of gas is so expensive.
