Front suspension

Front suspension
I have my father-in-laws 69 camaro that I am starting to do some work on. I brought it home over the summer and did the basics on it to get it started. It sat in a garage for about 10yrs without starting. I also replaced the rear suspension. It is a basic camaro with 67K miles,307, 2-speed powerglide tran and haspower steering. No other big features. It is two tone exterior. Interior is in fantastic shape and the body needs some work. Seems my father-in-law was in a few accidents that no one seems to remember. But there is no rust in the trunk or floors.
I figured I would redo the front suspension due to all the bushing in the A-arms are cracked and most of the ball joints and suspension is original. When I replaced the rear shocks they were the original spirals.
My questions are:
is it best to by the full suspension kit from year one or Rick's first gen?
I am trying to keep as close to original as possible therefore I thought I would go with rubber bushing, etc. Any thoughts on that?
Should I change the coil springs or do leave the originals in there?
I will upload a pic in the future
Thanks for the input

RE: Front suspension
if you want to keep it as original as possible, go with the rubber. if you don't like to drive in a 40 year old car, and want better response to handling, go with poly bushings
I'm sure the springs are shot. if you are doing everything else, the springs are short money and there will be huge improvement
as far as Year One or Rick's, use whoever you want because they are both good. I am biased toward Rick's though

RE: Front suspension
if I am shooting them myself, I always use a self-etching primer and then just good ol' back spray cans
make sure you clean then parts with a solvent after blasting and before painting, to get all the contaminants off the parts
