Default Found 69 valve covers in storage. help identify?

I found some old valve coverswhen i cleaned outmy rented storage space. They came as extra parts from a 68 camaro I bought, partialy restored, then sold. I sold the camero of about 19 years ago so these must have been in the storagefacility about that long. They look like the 69-77 Corvette 69 Camaro alluminum valve covers I see on ebay. They are in a GM parts box with 6248 2/10/84 in blue print on the long part of the box and a Genuine General Moters Parts sticker on the end w/ 75E4 1#474208 GR. 0.386 COVER on the sticker.. The inside of the valve cover is stamped w/ a triangle w/ ADC inside it folowed by CAV 1. Undernieth is 1402555E LH and 14025554 RH, although the E in 1402555E could be a backwards 3 to the right of all these markings is a 83 surounded by a circle w/ lines pointed outward and dots inbetween the lines. Is this an original part,aGM replacement part cast in 83 or a reproduction? They look as though they have alot of casting imporfections but I was wondering if they are worth anything?

There is a right and a left cover. One is 474208 and the other should be 474207. Because they are Corvette and Camaro parts, they are obviously worth something. That "something" depends on their overall condition and just how bad someone else wants them. Since you say that you have looked on Ebay, then you obviously have some idea of what they are worth. You say that they are in GM boxes and then you ask if they are original. Since they are in GM boxes, it would be safe to say that they are replacement parts which is still an original part. But not exactly the same as if they had been installed at the factory. Depending on which yearthat they were purchased and/or produced, such as the 1984 date on the box, you can determine whether or not they were "original" for 69-77 Corvettes. I dare say that that makes them replacement parts. Anything is only worth what some one is willing to pay...so put them on ebay and then you'll know...good luck

Original GM covers are available from the Paddock, http://www.paddockparts.com/Paddock/...elleEngine.pdf
cost is $170 each. The imperfections you speak of may only be from storage.
I have seen others advertised for as much as $750.
