Finally got a 69 and I stole it!
thanks for all the info guys. I have been too busy on other crap to get back to the dipstick tube. Its currently in the freezer and I have 5 new o rings so I'll give it a few more tries and let you all know how I make out.
I'm in the same boat, I hope real soon.. Kicking my self i the *** because I put the new timing chain cover and water pump on last weekend and now I want a bigger cam lol... But I hope to get it mated with the th400 and dropped back into the car and running with in the nxt 3-4 weeks
Shouldnt it just pop right in? Mine did anyway it hasnt leaked yet ( knock on wood)
yea, it should but from the online searches I done, it seems to be a very common problem. i read that the "Fitzall" dipstick tubes would go right in so I went to town and bought one.... after it not fitting I called their Tech Line.... they said they fit all but corvettes and camaros. took it back and Im back to square one. fml
