Finally got a 69 and I stole it!
Updates coming very soon. heres a rundown of the next few things that will take place before I back her out of the garage...
-gotta change the sending unit out in the fuel tank so I can get the gauge working
-gotta run the little tube from the block to the oil pressure gauge.
-then Ill put the new carpet in and put the seats back in.
Im hoping to get this stuff done in the next couple weeks depending on my work schedule. thanks for looking Slickster.

ok, first let me apologize... this update will not include pictures.
Dropped the gas tank this morning and put a new sending unit in so the Gas Gauge works finally.
Ran the little tube from the block for the Oil Pressure Gauge.
Now for the Rant... Pulled the transmission dipstick tube out to replace the "O" ring. after two hours of trying to get it back in I gave up. went to town and bought a Fitzall replacement tube and stick. doesnt use an O ring. dont buy into the hype.... they do not Fit All. after screwing with it for a while I called the manufacturer, they said they do not fit Corvettes.... and only a couple Camaros. and he couldnt tell me which Camaros but obviously not a 69. so the Camaro is sitting again. after alot of reading, I hear that the chrome on the dipstick needs to be dremeled off in the little groove where the O ring goes. we shall see. anyway, thats it. now I just need to put the carpet in and seats so that when I do finally get the dipstick back in the trans I can drive the friggin thing. that is all for now.

Ironically a friend of mine stopped me at work with trans tube issue just this morning. He broke his off trying to get it to fit right. I told him I don’t think Camaros came with automatics, it was Greek to me. He knows I was joking. Please Post back when you get a fix I will link him to it.
BTW why is this thread not in the project section?

when I started it in 2007 I didnt even know there was a project Section. kinda always thought that was more suited for projects other than Camaros anyway. think I should move it?
Thanks! Im gettin really close to backing her out of the garage after 5 long years.
