I like the idea of the cowl hood with the SS inserts.

Don't know if I've ever seen one, would have to do a search to see if anybody makes one. Although, almost anything can be "remade" using a sawzall and krazy glue. I was wondering what it would look like if I were to cut the L88 portion off my one hood and bond it onto the cowl hood. Still pretty sure the carbs wouldn't fit under it tho.

69's right again.... thats just an SS hood but a few years ago I did see an actual raised cowl induction hood with the SS insets "added", it was pretty cool but they were just just sittin on top. anyway, Im still open to suggestions.

The one in Newark is the one! He had a bunch of parts listed. It's been on there for a few weeks.

I need alternator advice...

ok, the one that got burnt up in the fire was 10si, 3 o'clock. I have way of knowing what Amp. I understand the 3'clock thing because its the regular chevy, passengers side, long water pump setup, and the wire would be on the outside and the intake on top away from the header. what I need help with is Amperage. Im not running HID's or Stereo Amplifiers. just the regular run of the mill stuff plus a 16" electric fan and an HEI. I do intend to run Vintage Air at some point. I tried to do an average calculation using PowerMasters chart and came up with around 48-50 which is everything at the midrange point. I doubt Id ever be pulling all that. or I could be wrong and have no idea what Im talking about.

what are you guys running on your 1st Gens? thanks for the help.
