Default Filling the tank

Since bringing my recently purchased 67 home I cant seem to fill the tank.
The hoses at the gas station dont want to seal and even using a 5 gallon fuel jug with a long spout it only takes ~ a gallon and then stops. I also have a problem that if the car sits on an incline in my driveway with the front higher than the back, after the sun beats on it for a while it starts burping gas out of the cap. I have replaced the gasket around the cap but it still happens. It looks like maybe the fill tube where the cap goes on may be bent in a little but not a lot. Any ideas??

Thanks!

I'm taking a guess at this, but the vent for your gas tank is in the cap, maybe there is something wrong with the cap and it's not venting and builds up pressure on the inside???

Maybe just try a new cap.

Our gas caps are supposed to only vent in, not out. Some pressure building up inside the tank is normal. Have a gas cap that vents out, and you'll get a stream coming out of it when pressure builds.

I would replace the filler hose behind the license plate.
