You should have SBC stands with a small block motor

IIRC BB stands the DS is higher and also BB stands allow the motor to be about 1" further to PS. Both so block clears steering box

I would think that is exactly what you do not want to do

If your sub frame bushings are worn that makes the body sit about 1/2" low
If your sub frame is bent "up"...that would raise the motor also

If whatever combo you have works in terms of drive line angle and your body bushings are good and the sub frame is not bent but your air cleaner hits the hood than go with a drop air cleaner base or a shorter filter

Can't really tell by any of your pics what you have for mounts/stands...but the bolt type holding them on is "different" so not sure what you have

I have a higher than stock intake and my air cleaner fits fine with my cowl hood...
