Default Drum To Disc Conversion

Hi everybody! New member here, just got a 68 SS camaro and anxious to upgrade it.
Can somebody tell me what donor cars can be used for my front disc brake conversion? I know I can buy new, but like to save some money if possible. Also, what vendor may be best to use to buy whole front disc conversion kit? Any tips and tricks on that conversion would be greatly appreciated as well.

What size rims do you plan on running?

The cheapest conversion would be with parts from a late 2nd gen. You would need the Master the distribution block and the rear calipers. You may need some brake lines or adapters.

I think the most common conversions are with C5 parts, You can buy a kit or just buy the conversion parts can get the rest of the parts from Junkyard/parts store. Just Google "1968 Camaro conversion to C5 brakes" Seems like everyone has a kit.

For budget reasons I was planning to do a 4th gen camaro all around conversion but the front rotors may be to large for my 15" rally wheels. I may have to run early 4th gen parts. With larger then 15" rim you want 1998 up brakes. The nice part about the Camaro 4th gen conversion is the cost you can buy or make the brackets and you can get all the parts from a U-pull it yard. OP

If your car is a "SS" it should have disc brakes. Right Stuff kits are about $540 for the fronts
