Default Door hinge spring

Is there an easy way to change the door hinge springs on a 69? I have one of those tools but no way is it gonna fit in there. Any tricks to it? pictures?

I just used mine on an 84 Camaro to replace hinge pin. Open it as wide as it will go and beat it into spring with hammer. It will compress enough for spring to come out. Be careful with it after spring is out though, don't want that sucker flying out. Worked like a Champ for me, once you use it you will never have problem doing hinge pins again

Why you changing spring? I didn't try but I did open door and could put tool in from topside of spring and still get at little nut to compress tool. Should be enough to get spring out.
