DISC conversion on my 69 camaro.
Everyone here seems to be really friendly! I really need your help guys! I have a 1969 camaro with current all around drum brakes. I'm looking to update her with BAER TRACK-PLUS FRONT BRAKE SYSTEM Front - 1301056, Rear - 1302140. The individual selling me the disc brakes says he purchased them for his 1969 chevelle, but the kit was ment to be used on a GM F-body 1970-1981 & A-body to include Camaro, Chevelle, Monte Carlo, Buick, GTO, Pontiac. He told me installing these brakes on my 1969 camaro shouldn't be a problem. My question is would the brakes fit on my spindles, would I need to modified upper/lower ball joints. Or can I simply exchange spindles, since the new baer brakes already include them? Thanks for all your help guys!
wait a minute , the application states for a 1970 - 1981 and you have a 1969, i would not buy it, buy one that goes to your 69, i bought a kit from SSBC to convert my 67 front drums and it came with new spindles and no you don't have to modify any ball joints or anything
no i wouldnt buy it, ssbc is good, or you could just go look for the correct baer brake kit, seeing as how baer is also really good. but i guess it all depends on the $$$.
