Default Disc Brake upgrade problems

I am having a hard time figuring out the brake line routing from the power disc kit that I bought last weekend
The brake line fittings that I got with the kit make no sense at all , except for the longer one( #1), which I am pretty sure goes to the left front caliper.
This kit was supposedly made to replace a manual drum system without replacing the stock lines.

The kit came with VERY vague/general instructions that are not specfic to the Camaro.

I know where the lines go on the proportioning valve, but have no idea how the 4 adapters are supposed to go. The stock line do not even come close to reaching the new proportioning valve.

Also, there is no instructions or fitting for where the vacuum line goes. I am assuming that it goes in the plugged port in the manifold which is in the picture.

Has anyone installed this kit?

I would assume that most of these kits are bought by DIYers, so the instructions should be car specific and more clear, afterall the brake system is the most important system on a vehicle.

If anyone can help me figure out the line routing by the pictures, It would be very much appreciated. The front left line is not shown in the picture because I removed it already.

I think that you are right about the vaccuum port on the housing... it seems that is the right thing...

The rest i have no clue because I don't have it in front of me....

Are you sure taht you have the proportioning valve mounted the right way? It might not be mounted vertically, maybe horizontally?

I will look at mine tomorrow and see. Those other lines might be to replace the stock hard lines so that they will make it to the por. valve.
This is why I dont buy the after market kits. I get factory parts off of donor cars, that way you get all the stuff you need, and it ends up costing less or about the same, with less headaches
Check out my pics of my sons 72 Nova. look at the pics of the subframe, then click on full size. The only line missing is the one that goes to the rear. It should be close to what you have.

You will have to bend your old lines to get them to fit

Hope that will help a bit

your metering block should be sitting under the master in a factory set-up, so without knowing who made this kit or actually seeing their manuals, it is too had to tell. does this metering block have the proportioning valve included in one unit (factory was a separate unit)

usually if you use a reputable company, they are very clear with their product's instructions. I am starting to think that this is another situation where someone used a second rate supplier just to try to save a couple of bucks, and now are wishing they weren't?

just call the company and have them answer your questions. if they won't send the product back, because if you have problems down the road, how much do you think they are going to want to help you then?

Your kit looks like the ones we use. You are correct in assuming that #1 goes to the front left. The short lines are for connecting the master (front & rear) to the prop valve. You may have 2 left over if the kit is the same as I have used, they are for using a metric master cylinder(Corvette style). Firebird is right, you will need to bend the lines to get them to fit. There should be plenty there since most have a loop in them from the factory.
