Default 67 cruise control wiring

To any member that has a 67 with cruise control. Could you please verify the color of the two wires on the regulator? I am having a problem getting the proper wiring harness. The 67 Chassis Service Manual shows them to be black and blue (accessories 15-8, Fig. 9).The 69 CSM shows them to be white and brown/white stripe (accessories 15-8, Fig.10). I have ordered the harness (2x) from American Auto Wire and keep getting the white and brown/white stripe, they insist that this is the correct wiring and colors for the 67.I now have to decide if the 67 CSM is correct or incorrect.

I am a little confused here. are you talking about the factory voltage regulator or are you talking about some regulator on an aftermarket cruise control unit?

also, why are you worrying if the original colors are the same anyway? just use the company's schematic and wiring diagrams. I only use Painless Wiring harnesses when I rewire a car and NEVER refer to factory manuals when I use their products.

Thank you for your response. I am talking about a factory installed RPO K30 cruise control that was installed in some 300-350 67, 68 camaros. I do not not know for certain if RPO K30 was available in 69 but if you look in the 1969 GM P&A ( parts and accessories manual rev. 10-1-69 pages 3-212,3-122,3-123 and 3-124) you will find parts madespecifically forthe 69 camaro only.

I have a 67 that I am restoring that has the correct hole placements on the firewall and left wheel well cover, indicated in the 67 assembly manual K30 A2 page 271. I would like to put the car back to as original as possible because it has a good option package, that being the reason why I want the correct wiring.
For those of you that have never seen a factory cruise control on a camaro, look at Chevrolet Camaro (Musclecar Tech) by William Burt
chapter 1 page 21 and 23 (vary rare indeed).

sounds like a great project and I wish I could have been of more help. I am going to have to check my factory assy manual next time to see that stuff. I honestly don't think I ever knew they had that from the factory
