Default Considering buying '69 Pace Car

I'm dealing on a '69 Camaro pace car. Wondering what to look for other than Z11 on cowl tag. It does not have gauges. Could that be correct? It's advertised as numbers matching. I assume part of the vin is on the engine and transmission, but how about the rear end? Can the rear be 10 bolt on a 350 pace car? I'm new to your site and appreciate any advice. Thanks.

this is something that you shouldn't just be looking online for advice on. these cars are faked a lot. there are too many things to list that could prove that it is a fake. you will never get all the info you need on a forum so you need to go buy some literature on the car. people that fake these cars don't leave the obvious stuff undone so it is really not even worth listing any of it. sorry

X2. Man this is a broad question. There are a ton of stuff. And whithout the build sheet it is virtually impossible to tell the real thing from the fake, cowl tags are even being reproduced for cheap. There are lots of books that can help, the white book is the first one I bought then moved on to others. If there are specifics we can help you out such as, 'hey it has a ______ and I think it should have a ____' those are easier to answer. One thing though, the first thing to look for, it should have a 50 it the paint code area.
