Classic Industries Radiator Support
Hey guys,
I purchased a "Restorer's Choice" radiator support from Classic Industries. This was a more expensive version than their standard version but I was willing to spend a little extras as I expect this to nearly fit right out of the box. I didn't want to have to do much modification to make it fit. When it arrived, I was surprised to see a big "made in Taiwan" printed on the side of the box. I haven't opened and inspected it yet. I wanted to ask if you guys have had any experience with this part?

No but you'll have a hard time finding anything made here these days short of new old stock which would be a real stroke of luck to find.
At least it's Taiwan and not mainland China, I'd bet the cheaper ones are Chinese and not as well made.

http://www.autometaldirect.com/image.../GMrestore.jpg. No mods needed.
The only way you'll find an American made part is if it's a genuine GM new old stock part.
That GM Restore stuff is not made by GM it's only licensed to use the GM logo as a direct replacement part with correct badging etc.
The "Restorer's Choice" radiator support from Classic Industries is probably fine.
The only way to know for sure is to install it.
