it sounds like you just have a nice driver there. if I was you, I'd just do what I wanted with it. I wouldn't worry about originality. seems like you would need to do a lot of research to find out it's truthful model. even it your car is an original SS, this would be an expensive endeavour to partake in. best left for someone with bottomless pockets

I think you are right. When I got the car the resources to research were limited with the state of the Internet at the time. I'm happy with it and plan to keep it and drive it from time to time. Going to address some of the small issues that need fixed. Once the house is paid off in a few years I might venture into engine hunting. A friend of mine just did this but as stated gotinto big bucks.
