I am trying to find my casting number on my 350. I have looked behind the distributer and have only seen a clock looking thing. Is there anywhere else where it might be easier to see while the motor is in the car cause i cant get my fat *** in there enough to see any numbers. I got the code from the front of the motor which was T0113HB (I think) but that dont really tell me anything, at least that i can find as far as exactly what this motor was AND what it came in. Also there was supposed to be a vin next to that number but there was none.
Any light that anybody can shed on this i would be happy to hear it.

I had to remove the hood to see mine, then I had to hose it down with degreaser and a wire brush and about a half an hour before I could see anything. You might be able to get to it without removing the hood, just add another half hour or so.
I think your engine was made in Tonowa - jan 13th and if its a :
1965 - 327ci
1967 - 327 - specificaly a Camaro engine, could be yours.
1968 - 327
1969 - 350

I was told it was a 350, but was also told the origional motor was a 327. Would be nice if this was the origional motor. I doubt it though. Can you tell the difference between a 327 and a 350 from the outside?

Just looking at small blocks from that era, they all look alike from the outside other than casting marks, etc., makes no difference if it's 283, 327, 302, 350, they all appear to be the same at first glance. You will have to rely on casting marks, etc. for ID, then the question becomes is it the original size or has it been rebuilt bored/stroked, etc.
