I have a friend that is replacing the transmission in his C6/Z06 soon. He's offered to give me the transmission for really cheap. I would love to have a 6-speed in the '67, but I haven't been able to determine if it will fit. I have searched forums and the rest of the web, but haven't found any conversion kits, or tranny mounts to make this work. (Both manual transmissions, and a 4-speed on the camaro right now)
Is it possible? Does somebody sell the necessary parts? (If so, please provide a name or link!)

If I can't make the C6 tranny work, I will still be doing a swap to a 5-speed (tremec or bowler, most likely).

 

That would be a major conversion job, but cool if you could do it.
You do realize that the C6 has the transmission in the rear of the car, don't you? It's actually considered a transaxle since it's all part of the torque tube/rear axle/independent suspension setup.
