Default Block back exhaust make over for the 67

So to replace my rusted out exhaust pipe and manafold I ordered these today. So I am just in waiting mode now.

I asked for performance vs looks, and price is an object. I think not too bad for <$300.

More to follow....

So I got the stuff today and had to do something so I took out the Alt, unbolted the old manafold, and put it up on jackstands.

And that is just one reason I needed to get this done, you should take the red tape off both sides of the muffler repair stuff. (noted for next time).

Already gone....
I have a few more in the alblum if you want more. I will be updating with a few here too.

So I got the easy side on, almost. I have to figure out how to tighten the back bolt. I am thinking a 7/16 crows foot. Dropped the old pipes too.

WTF, it always happens I go to put on the drivers side and there is a dent.....
So I called Summit and Duhhhh it is for spark plug clearance.
D+ D+ D = DDD

I guess I'm not the only one that called though, the guy already knew why I was calling when he say the part number.

So I got it all together last night. Putting the gearbox back on was a real pain, I imagined that I would end up with a car that could only make left turns or something. Still need an alternator bracket and then putting on the pipes. The crowsfoot wrench set was just what I needed to get the hard to reach spots.

Got the Alternator bracket today and put it in. I just had to run it and all I can say is wow it sounded great, even though it was just headers and the first section of pipe.

Finished it off and took a ride around the block. I will post a sound byte as soon as I can. But I can't believe how great it sounds. I never remeber it ever sounding so mellow, but in a good way. Now I have to figure out why the brake light wont go off, and fix the fuel gauge again.
