Big block conversion 1969 camaro
I'm having a hard time following this thread. Popkorn69 posted the question, then Ron Wilson reply's thanks for all the help and then mentions his install, then you have this "not so normal" reply from this Truing person........
I think I may need some too?
But as long as we're all happy, that's what matters the most!

I have a '67 that has had the 6cyl replaced with a BB 402. Apparently they used small block mounts because the distributor cap is mashed hard against the firewall. How big of a job is it to replace the small block mounts with BB mounts. Any welding involved or just bolt on. I have also thought about trying a different type distributor with smaller cap to see if that will give enough room so as to not need to replace mounts.
Any feedback and/or advise would be appreciated.

BBC and SBC motor mounts are available at any parts store. They both fit on the same frame mount, so it's simply pulling one off, and putting the other on. The difference is simply height.
I know there has been talking of the heater core being different and people talking about cutting new holes in the heater core case. Isn't that what this would do? Also, than a guy who just need to switch to a big block heater core, correct? Not trying to hi-jack the thread, but learn along with the poster.
