Ash Gold Color anyone? Scooch!
Anyone have an Ash Gold 1st Gen? I noticed Scooch had a gold 1st Gen, but I am not sure if it is Ash Gold, or not! Scooch...if you read this, can you tell me what color that sweet ride is?
Anyone else with an Ash Gold example...would you mind posting a pic or two?
I am trying to restore to mostly original,my car was originally Ash Gold...so here lays my problem...or solution- depending on what Ash Gold looks like!
Thanks for all the help!

Hey kona1, My ride was freshly painted when I got it. It was originally Olympic Gold, but when it the guy thought it was kinda drab so they had it brightened up a little and added some metallic. I guess that makes it a Custom Color. It's a beautiful color but with that, It has no Identification and it can never be matched. I've pulled the fenders and can see the factory Gold and its not too far off but still alot better. Anyway, if you go to the link below, there is a nicely done '68 painted Ash Gold. There are several pictures from different angles so I think it will help you get an idea of what your looking for. Thanks for the comment on my ride, I'm proud of it, but still not finished with it. Hope this helps you out. Post again to let me know what you decide or if this doesnt help and I'll try to actually put the pics in the thread, This was just easier for me tonight. Good Luck.

Here are a few of my 68 Ash Gold Coupe
Iget a lot of compliments on the color..before I had it repainted I was considering a different color, but decided to keep it original because you just don't see too many in this color.
I think the black bumble bee stripe really sets it off and do not think it would look half as good without it.

I have a 68 Camaro with the Ash Gold color code (GG). The car has been painted once on the exterior, but the underside of the trunk still offers a good look at the original paint.

Wow, CamaroTodd, Beautiful Car. I have to say, next to mine the Ash Gold almost looks like it has a Green Tint to it in the pictures, I like it alot. It makes mine look way too gold. I didnt like it at all when I got it but it has grown on me. I think you guys are all looking alot more original with the Ash. Anyway, Good Luck with your color choice kona1.
Yea nice car camarotodd. Scooch I like the gold color of yours too. Nice rims. Are your gills black or just a shadow?
Thanks for the compliments.......
I hated the Ash Gold when I bought it and I was thinking the first thing I am going to do is repaint it.
Now that I had it repainted and it is clean with no waves or chips in the paint...I am glad I kept the color.
I have never seen another one like it at any of the car shows that I attend...I know there was most likely quite a few made, there are probably not too many that were not repainted red, blue, black or other "more desirable" colors.
