Question Any Big Blockers?

I'm new to the forum, and Camaro 69 kindly pointed me over here. Do any of you guys run a big block? Or is everyone running small blocks? I just had a few questions about the Mark IV vs the Gen VI, mainly seeing how hard it would be to get a Gen VI up and going in a Gen 1 Camaro.

Why yes I do, it's a 396 around 500hp.

Car originally was a 6 cylinder.

Everything to do a swap is easily available.

I have a 454 with a M-20 going in mine. Orignally it was probably a 307 or 327. Some things depend if you have a auto or manual. I know for me I had to swap out the frame mounts, the motor mounts, and the transmission crossmember. Also I had to buy a big block transmission linkage. You would want to change your front springs out with big block springs, and if you have stock front drums I would recommend swapping to disc because of the added weight. I'm sure there would be some exhaust changes, and a bigger radiator for additional cooling. Traction may be an issue if you have a non-posi 10-bolt.
