Another one~
I found another '69 for sale. Almost the same price as the last one I looked at, but much, much better.

I just got back from having a look at it, and it does look good. Quarters are all good, 'cept the right front, trunk pan is good, floor pan apparently has a crease in it, but can be pulled out. Frame is bent, but not badly, and ought to be able to get straightened.
It was originally a 6-cyl auto car, but had a 350/Muncie 4-speed at the time of the accident. That engine and transmission are not included, but he's willing to dig up a bunch of parts for it, including a Powerglide that he'll give me (not too concerned about that, but I can turn around and sell it, I think~)
Otherwise it looks good. I'm gonna talk to a couple people I know before I sign anything but if it's as good as I think it is, I'm gonna go for it.

holy snikeys!!!!!!
that much money for a car that is in pieces, hit AND bent????
I don't know what your classic car market is up there, but around my way that thing wouldn't be worth crap. frame and floor damage kills that deal. frame is one thing, but when it's hit hard enough to compromise the structural integrity of the body.... maybe, just maybe it might be worth almost $1000.00 if all the parts were there

Took the words right out of my mouth!
By looking at the drivers door to fender fitment, and with the floor pan being "creased", it's very likely that the unibody frame structure where the subframe connects is badly bent. Hope it's not rusty there as well, because that will be an additional can-o-worms. Plus, by their description "once being repaired it will need a write off inspection" would mean that the car has a salvage title. That's what that would mean here in the states, anyway. To total a 69 Camaro that "was nicely restorted up until acciedent" means either the car was underinsured, or it's gonna cost a ton of money to fix it back up.

What it means here, is that it needs a $300 inspection when I'm done, and of course it stays on the car's history, but I'm not too concerned about that. There's barely any rust at all; I got a good look at the remaining wheel wells, the trunk pan, and all the body panels that are there are good. The little bits that I did see were very clearly just surface crap; easily cleaned up.
Cars are generally more expensive here, and not by a little. A fully-loaded 2010 2SS/RS Camaro runs over $45,000, for example, about $10,000 more than a similar US car.
And as far as what I have to compare it against, well...

Sheesh, eh? You could probably vacation down here in the states for a month or two while you shop, bring a car back up, pay all the fees/taxes, and still be money ahead!!
Seeing what people get for "parts cars" up there, that could even be a money making venture for you.

You must be spending too much time outside, I think your brain is freezing causing bad ideas. Save your money and look for a car a little further south maybe. Remember, everyone in Edmonton has jacked the price's because of the oil boom up in Fort. Try looking in Calgary or even in Sask. if you wanna stay on this side of the border. A road trip can be fun.
There's nothing~
And the oil boom's over, man.
I'm not gonna drop this one just yet- I've a few contacts I can talk to yet and see what they have to say, but otherwise there's still no hurry.
