Default am/fm install as the factory did it

I have a 1968 camaro and will be installing the factory stereo harness in a convertible. I am in desperate need of some photos or a guide on where to run the wires and how the factory installed the stereo harness and speakers. I would like to do all speakers and harness exactly as the factory did it. Especially for the kick speakers and the rear speaker mounting locations. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

With the questions you've been asking, getting one of these would be money well spent: Chassis Service Manual
If you need detailed body assembly info, then an assembly manual would also come in handy.

Thanks,
I have 3 manuals... assembly, chassis and Fischer body..and have reviewed them all. None of them are clear on how the options wiring was run. I have manuals From Ford for another build I did (sorry love all old cars not just Chevy) and those manuals are VERY clear on how all wiring was run for the whole car with illustrations The Chevy wiring diagrams are useless for what I am doing. The assembly manual for this car really does not address options or the convertible features (power top wiring, etc.) in any detail that is helpful. If you know where that kind of info can be found I would appreciate it. Thanks!

Camaro 69,
Thanks. I have two of these as well one for the RS and one for the base. They are really good with wiring diagrams but not so good with the illustrations on where the wiring is to run. I will keep looking but hey thanks for all the help!

Know where I can find some vibration dampners...besides e-bay or craig's list? Does anybody repro. these yet?

Appreciate all you help!

"Cocktail Shakers" is what they are lovingly referred to. I don't know of any aftermarket ones available. And from what I understand, ones from a 69 won't fit your car, even though a seller may say they do. I would check into that further. Why don't you want to get some off ebay or craigslist anyway? Here's some on ebay now (and there are others out there as well): Cocktail Shakers

camaro 69,
Thanks again. I Know you are right on the 1969 "cocktail shakers". I went and looked at some locally today and they are not the same! Upper bracket location is taller and in the wrong place.
I don't mind getting these off e-bay or Craig's list other than the fact of what I went through today and that is people who do not know what they are selling and saying they will fit a 1968 car. I do not want to waste my time with that. I would rather pay a couple bucks more for the right piece the first time (figure most aftermarket parts should be pretty darn close). I had a really bad experience on e-bay with some "like new" wheels last year ($600 dollars worth & pictures looked great) they looked like they were pulled from a mud puddle in a junk yard and beaten with a ball peen hammer when they arrived.
Besides that the price on the dampners are crazy ($100.00 each average).
The auction you linked is the best one out there so far (in the last week) but still need to pay the $60.00 shipping fee. So over 3 bills.
Well I guess I am stuck with that..
Thanks

It's a "gotcha" item, only if you don't want your car to shake going down the highway. And if originals are the only ones available, then it's supply and demand driving the price. Are you restoring your car to be 100% (or near) accurate? If yours is an around-town only car, you could rethink putting the dampeners on. Four of them together weigh almost 100 lbs, which is another thing to consider.

Camaro 69,
Yep you are right about the weight. But I would like it to look correct...so I could add but drain out some of the trans. fluid. Well I guess I just need to suck it up and get some. Its only money right?
Thanks for all the advice
