69 Z28 Radiator
I am a new owner of a 69 Z28 with a 302. It is overheating, I want to add AC in the next year so I am looking into getting a new radiator. I have been searching every where and I have not gotten a solid opinion on what I should add. I believe I have a 2 core, original or at least what came from the factory. I think I want an aluminum and I think I want electric fan(s). I think I want 3 or 4 core but I could use some direction. Not sure who to ask.

If you want to keep it fairly stock .You could go with a 4 core radiator for you car with the options you want to add..I would also to a 7 bladed clutch fan as well .And have the system flushed as well.

Thank you. I have a 7 blade fan, with a fan clutch. The fan is only about 1/2 inch into the shroud. shouldn't it be in the shroud more? if so, can I add a 1 inch spacer to my fan or do I need to get a new fan clutch that extends the fan into the shroud?

While a 302 car did not come with AC IIRC, cars that did used a 23" vs a 21" radiator and I believe the stock 23" was a 3 core
A good aftermarket aluminum should work. Check out FSR or Cold Case
The fan should be 1/2 in/out of the shroud
adding the "cover" that bridges the core support to the front body panel does keep air coming in through grill going through radiator vs over it
My 23" and cover

i have a 7 blade fan with a clutch. my fan is only in my shroud by 1/2 inch. It will need another inch to get it half in half out of the shroud. can I put a one inch spacer on that or do I need to get a whole new clutch? I have been looking and have not been able to find anything or anyone that has the same issue.

you may have a short WP and you need a long one so a spacer is a very common way to resolve the problem
There is also a sleeve that comes with fan clutch that you use to match the center "nipple" of the WP to center it on the WP. You just tap it in with a mallet if you need one for your particular WP
