69 SS Gauges Center & Console
When i got my 69 it had the center fuel gauge but the previous owner had taken out the console and its gauges. Can someone help me out and tell me what gauges would have been in the center console? I see that most of the repop stuff has a fuel gauge in the console pod, if thats the case why is there one in the center too?
Im new to these first gens so my questions might seem simple (bear with me im learnin)

By "center" do you mean in the middle behind the steering wheel? That was another optional spot for a gas gauge, or a clock. Or is your gas gauge in the standard spot, right of center? If the car came factory with the center console and gauge package, the gas gauge would be one of the four, and not in the dash. Then in place of the standard gas gauge, you would have a tach or a dummy filler. Sounds like maybe the previous owner either added the center gauges, or the car did come with console gauges and the dash gauge cluster was replaced.

Probably what happened. The fuel gauge now is center steering. I have speedo and tach (which is another story)
He said he took the center console out so " im assuming " it had the console gauges but the car is truly an ss if that helps.
Is it possible to rewire the center fuel gauge to the new console fuel gauge and just say put a clock in the center where this fuel gauge is?
Any help on wiring these would be appreciated too. I jsut ordered the console last night so I have time for research.
