Default 69 door problem

I bought a driver quality 69 clone with decent paint, etc. The only problem looks like when driver side rear quarter was replaced alignment not great. Top of door near outside handle lines up real good but the bottom is about 5/8 - 3/4" out of alignment meaning bottom is not flush with quarter. Any ideas of how to fix without cutting door jam and realigning? I've heard of putting a 2x4 near top and trying to bend door to get in line. Don't really want to get into cutting welding and paint unless last options. Thanks. Tom PS-I can push door with leg at bottom to get there but springs back out.

Tom, doors get twisted and the 2x4 method works. But seriously, pics would help a great deal here.
