After 41 years, its finally time to replace my Defroster Defuser. Problem is, I need to find one. Does anyone here have a WORKING defuser or know where one can be had. I AM willing to pay. Mine has gotten to the point that it is so warped that the flapper inside will not close or open fully anymore. This is NOT the Y shaped piece that runs from the defroster vents in the dash but the piece that sits UNDER that Y piece. My car does have a/c but I believe the defuser is the same in a/c and non a/c cars. My email is RAJ484@cableone,net.

any chance you can take a pic of the piece you need and post it.....we have some parts laying around that aren't going back in but I don't know which is the piece you need if we have it.

is that the exact part you need?

The flaps are intact and move freely, will need a slight amount of clean up and a hole patched from where I was test drilling as seen in pic. Swap out the heater core and grease it up and should be good to go.

 

Your close with that piece but the piece Im looking for attached to the opposite end of the heater core on that piece. Its circled in this picture:

YES!!!!!!!!! Thats the piece!!! Photo 1 looks like a better piece than photo 2...unless they are both photos of the same piece,,,but THATS IT!!!!!!!!! Will you sell and for how much????
